"I always thought that in the world there are two kinds of people ... one who go silently to their death ... and second who go crying and screaming to their death ... and then I met the third kind"-Rang De Basanti.
I Know a person who was superbly active till his fifty, and suddenly he got paralysed and diagnosed he is suffering from a life-threatening disease. Last six months he is in bed, inactive, sometimes frustrated and hopeless. Despite paralysed by both the legs he travelled thousands of kilometres for his treatment by pursuing others, that too several times. Despite medical science gave up his case, he plans for future and hopes every moment to be cured, plans for future very rationally and with his limited resources. He plans and hopes every day for his daughter, for his wife lying in bed.
I know another person of sixty suffering from a incurable disease since her early forty, became widowed also. In the last 20 years, she has struggled with society, abused by people in the workplace due to the misconception about her disease, but still succeeded to achieve a quality life and raised her child to a successful career, single-handedly. She is strong to face all adverse situation and extremely optimistic about a better life in the future though she does not know how much time is there for her.
I met another person in the hospital while my father was admitted for six days and I was struggling to manage everything alone. The person was of seventy years and his wife was under same life threat as my father was and suffering from same incurable disease. Despite being seventy, he was taking all the necessary care of his wife, was sleepless at nights to nurse her. His energy level (which was seemingly generated from the love and dedication for her wife) was mesmerising and inspiring. When I talked to him, the harder shock was there for me. He told he lost his son few years back who was only forty then.
There are many people around us who are very common, but of the 'third kind', who do not give up at any stage of life- whatever the situation is. They give the Life the lesson of surviving with positives. Life is all about facing and winning the challenges, performing with the endurance we have, and the endurance level increases every day. If it seems you are losing, actually the chance of winning the battle increases, because we may lose the particular battle, but with our newly achieved capacity the larger battle can be won. Up to the time we are surviving with our focus, everything is possible. We ourself do not know when we go beyond your level and start winning the battle. The only thing we need to do, we have to be focused and not to give up. Never say never.
never say never... fight till forever..
